✦ Synopsis
About two dozen contributed papers and five invited review talks were presented at the seminar. Several of the contributed papers dealt with correlation studies based on solar indices and meteorological parameters. Correlations were reported between flood indices and the double (or Hale) sunspot cycle, rainfall and geomagnetic data and solar activity, lightning index and solar wind proton flux outside the magnetosphere, mesopheric temperature and sunspot number, etc. Attempts at developing photometric instruments for studying solar radiation in different wavelengths were also reported. Two papers dealt with theoretical modelling radiation balance of the atmosphere and of atmospheric chemistry.
The invited talks dealt with causal mechanisms in sun-weather relationships, memory in climate, solar
