✦ Synopsis

A

of [l-1 with bolism semi-automated production unit is developed for the routine production .lC] palmitic acid via carbonation of n-pentadecyl magnesium bromide 'C02. The labeled compound is synthesized to study the myocardial metaby means of positron emission tomography. Chemical, radiochemical and pharmaceutical control showed that the product is suitable for human i.v. administration. In 35 min 40 to 60 mCi of [l-l'C] palmitic acid are produced in a final isotonic solution of 12 ml.

## Abstract 5(S)‐Hydroxy‐6(R)‐(N‐[1‐^11^C]acetyl)cysteinyl‐7,9‐trans‐11,14‐cis‐eicosatetraenoic acid (N‐[1‐^11^C]acetyl leukotriene E~4~) was prepared by the reaction of leukotriene E~4~ and [1‐^11^C]acetyl chloride. The product was obtained with 1.3% yield, based on [1‐^11^C]acetyl chloride. The p
