Abstract

The Symposium on Electrochemical Sensors was dedicated to the memory of the late Professor Wilhelm Simon. We all remember him as a remarkable and renowned scientist, and as an enthusiastic and inspiring lecturer. In particular, he was a pioneer in research on ion‐selective electrodes. With this article, the authors would like to pay due reverence to him and to his outstanding contributions to analytical chemistry.
