✦ Synopsis
The Wick-rotated spinor-spinor Bethe-Salpeter equation is applied to study the short distance behavior at vanishing c.m. energy and external mass. Effective interactions are fixed as particular superpositions of scalar, pseudoscalar vector and axialvector contributions. Short distance properties of the amplitudes suggest simple expansions for numerical solutions of the Bethe-Salpeter equation at nonzero c.m. energies and external masses. It is found that, for singular effective interactions, boundary conditions and other consistency requirements restrict the choice of coupling parameters characterizing the interaction at short distances.
