✦ Synopsis
Al~tract~Some results concerning the observability of implicit linear discrete-time systems of the form Ex~+t = Fxk, y~ = Hx~ are presented. It is not assumed that the corresponding pencil [sE-F] is regular. The concept of reachability with pulse introduced in this paper is shown to be dual to the notion of observability.

It is shown that the argument that has been employed is inconclusive and thu
