โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
Circulating immune complexes have been measured using the (^125^I)C1q binding test in 216 sera from 135 children with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. Increased circulating immune complexes were detectable in 10.7% of the sera and 10.4% of the children. There was no correlation between the presence of circulating immune complexes and prognosis, but a strong correlation with a history of recent infection.

In childhood acute lymphoblastic leukaemia there are large interpatient variations in levels of the apoptosis-regulating proteins Bax and Bcl-2, but the molecular basis for this variation is unknown. Point-mutations in bax have been reported in cell lines derived from haematological malignancies. Fr

Full skeletal survey was performed on 193 consecutive children presenting over a 6-year period with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL). A record was made of the degree of bone pain in these patients and 60 others presenting immediately prior to the availability of skeletal surveys. Bone pain was pr
## Abstract We have previously demonstrated induction of __O__โacetylated sialoglycoproteins on lymphoblasts of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL). These molecules promote survival of lymphoblasts by preventing apoptosis. Although __O__โacetylated sialoglycoproteins are over expressed, t
