✦ Synopsis

Relativistic corrections to order (u/c)* are applied to the helium excited states 2 l*3P, 3 t3D,..., 8 tJK. Simple correlated open-shell wavefunctions are employed and the Breit operators Hl through Hs treated as perturbations. Account is afso taken of mass potarixation and lowestorder one electron Lamb shift. The energies thus calcufated agree with experiment to wrthin 2.2 cm-' or better.

## Abstract A large number of scalar as well as spinor excited states of OsO~4~, in the experimentally accessible energy range of 3–11 eV, have been captured by time‐dependent relativistic density functional linear response theory based on an exact two‐component Hamiltonian resulting from the symme
