Max Kane continues to wander around the country solving crimes and helping people. When his twin sister Robin invites him to drive out east on a personal journey of discovery, he drops everything to help her out. After a DNA test turns up relatives that neither of the twins knew existed, both of them are skeptical, uncertain, but hopeful for what they might find in rural Vermont. How could they have living relatives, since their parents had always said they were the last of the Kane clan? Yet, everything is not as it seems in this quaint area of Vermont. And the past never seems to stay in the past. Max must overcome overwhelming odds to keep himself and his relatives safe. In typical Max Kane fashion, he doesn’t question the motives of bad people, he simply sorts out those who wish him harm and let’s God decide their fate.
