Mini-Mult from 71 to 86 items, which led to higher correlations in Scales L, F and 9 (Mania). Dean found practical utility of this instrument with normal Ss in a medical setting and entitled his version the "Midi-Mult." There is also the work of Faschingbauer (2), who utilized 166 MMPI items to develop another useful shortform of the MMPI.

The Mini-Mult may be used as a substitute for the MMPI in a medical setting, but because of its notable deficiencies it should be administered only when its standard version cannot be employed.
