✦ Synopsis
Minimizing the usage of glucose carbon for growth and cell maintenance energy requirement, specific glucose uptake rates, specific ethanol production rates were increased 5-fold. At 0.2 hr -1 and Y = 0.007g 0.009, ethanol production rates of 7.99 -8.46 g/ltr/hr, Q, values of 14.85 g/g/h r were obtained. This relationship is discussed in regard to glucose fermentation efficiency.
