Abstract

BALB/c‐nu nu mice which have been injected with a congenic thymus cell suspension are able to reject skin grafts from all other strains tested. Mice injected with allogeneic H2 incompatible thymus cells do not reject skin grafts. When allogeneic, H2 compatible cells are used, grafts from a third strain are usually rejected, although the rejection time may be extraordinarily slow. It is suggested that the host and donor cells cooperate to permit the rejection of the grafts.
