Abstract
BALB/c‐nu nu mice which have been injected with a congenic thymus cell suspension are able to reject skin grafts from all other strains tested. Mice injected with allogeneic H2 incompatible thymus cells do not reject skin grafts. When allogeneic, H2 compatible cells are used, grafts from a third strain are usually rejected, although the rejection time may be extraordinarily slow. It is suggested that the host and donor cells cooperate to permit the rejection of the grafts.
