Single crystals of trizinc(II) hexaoxotellurate(VI), Zn 3 TeO 6 , were grown by chemical transport reactions. The compound crystallizes in the -Li 3 VF 6 structure type and is isotypic with Co 3 TeO 6 . It can be derived from a close packing of strongly distorted oxygen layers in an hhchhc sequence
