The static and dynamic mechanical properties of carbon fibre-reinforced PEEK (APC-2) laminates subjected to long-term thermal ageing and cycling treatments have been studied using three-point bend flexure tests. Results are discussed with respect to morphological changes and degradation analysis. SI

A carbon-fibre-reinforced carbon (C/C) composite filled with silicon carbide (SiC) particles was produced, using the winding technique. A porous matrix consisting of glassy carbon, SiC particles and small pores in homogeneous distribution was produced, ensuring a damage-tolerant fracture behaviour.
