The effects of a thyroidectomy and thyroxine (T 4 ) replacement on the spontaneous and human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG)-stimulated secretion of testosterone and the production of adenosine 3ะˆ,5ะˆ-cyclic monophosphate (cAMP) in rat testes were studied.
