## Abstract Chemical transmitters released from astrocytes, termed gliotransmitters, modulate synaptic transmission and neuronal function. Using astrocyte‐specific inducible transgenic mice (dnSNARE mice), we have demonstrated that inhibiting gliotransmission leads to reduced activation of adenosin
