β¦ Synopsis
The comparative map between human and pig has progressed rapidly over the past 2 years. Nevertheless, some points still need to be clarified, particularly the correspondences between human chromosome 10 (HSA10) and porcine chromosome 10 (SSC10) and between human chromosome 1 (HSA1) and porcine chromosomes. The gene codings for vimentin (VIM) carried by HSA10 and three genes carried by HSA1 (hydroxy delta 5 steroid dehydrogenase 3 beta: HSD3B; alpha actin 1: ACTA1; and phosphoglucomutase 1: PGM1) were selected and the regional localisations on pig chromosomes were determined using a wellβcharacterised somatic cell hybrid panel.

## Abstract The concept of functional connectivity relies on the assumption that cortical areas that are directly anatomically connected will show correlations in regional blood flow (rCBF) or regional metabolism. We studied correlations of rCBF of cytoarchitectural areas 3a, 3b, 1, and 2 in the br
Loss of chromosomes frequently accompanies the establishment of hepatic cell lines in mice. Previous cytogenetic and allelotype studies have revealed that loss of chromosomes 4 and 12 is particularly common. In the present study, fine-deletion mapping was performed for chromosome 12 using 44 liver e
## Abstract ## BACKGROUND: Tobaccoβspecific nitrosamine 4β(methylnitrosamino)β1β(3βpyridyl)β1βbutanone (NKK) is a well defined carcinogen that can induce lung cancer. Genetic polymorphisms in its disposition pathways could modify the risk of developing lung cancer. The authors of this report previ
