## Abstract Most dementia patients in Israel are cared for by non‐psychiatric services. Psychiatric hospitals are generally reluctant to admit behaviourally disturbed dementia patients, unless it is for appropriate psychiatric reasons and for a transient period of time. We used national Psychiatric
