Regiochemical Aspects of the Platinum Oxide Catalyzed Hydrosilylation of Alkynes. -It is demonstrated, that heterogeneous PtO 2 is a useful catalyst for the hydrosilylation of internal unsymmetrical arylalkynes. The addition of silane (II) as the optimized reagent occurs preferentially at the α-position.
