Vapour pressures of (1-chlorobutane + 1-butanol, or 2-methyl-2-propanol) at several temperatures between T = 278.15 and T = 323.15 K were measured by a static method. Reduction of the vapour pressures to obtain activity coefficients and excess molar Gibbs energies was carried out by fitting the vapo

β¦ Synopsis
Measurements of the refractive index n D of (1,2-dichloroethane + 2-chloroethanol) in the temperature range 273.15 K β€ T β€ 343.15 K have been carried out for the purpose of checking the suitability of some empirical models of the type n D = n(T ), n = n(x i ), and n = n(T, x i ) for the correlation and interpolation of experimental data to cover existing gaps. Furthermore, the experimental data have been used to calculate excess properties such as n D , R E , and the excess Kirkwood parameter g over the entire composition range. The results obtained have been discussed and interpreted in terms of the type and nature of the specific intermolecular interactions between the components.

The speed of sound u has been measured in {(1x 2 )C 2 H 6 + x 2 CO 2 }, with x 2 β 0.6, along seven isotherms at temperatures between T = 220 K and T = 450 K by means of a spherical resonator. The greatest pressure on each isotherm was approximately p = 1.2 MPa except at T = 220 K where, to avoid co
Dynamic viscosities at T = 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure have been measured over the whole composition range for (methyl acetate + methanol + 2-propanol, or 2-butanol, or 2-methyl-2-butanol) and (methyl acetate or methanol + 2-methyl-2-butanol). The kinematic viscosity Ξ½ for (ethane-1,2-diol + 1,2-dimethoxyethane + water) was measured at 14 different ternary compositions covering the whole miscibility field, and at 19 temperatures in the range 263.15 T / K 353.15. The experimental values were fitted using empirical equations of the type Ξ½
Compounds K 2 W n O 3n+1 (n = 2, 3, 4) were synthesized using a pyrometallurgical technique. The products were characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis and found to be single-phase compounds. The enthalpy increments T 273.15 K H o m of each compound were measured by a drop method using a high-tem
Excess enthalpies and excess heat capacities of {x2-butanone + (1 -x)1,4-dioxane}, and {xcyclohexanone, or 2-butanone, or 1,4-dioxane + (1 -x)1,2-dimethoxyethane} were measured at T = 298.15 K. Excess enthalpies were negative for {x2-butanone + (1 -x)1,2-dimethoxyethane}, and negative with a small p
