A quantitative analysis of the Raman excitation proÐles (REPs) for and observed by Lichtmann cis-(CH) x -(CD) x et al. was undertaken on the basis of improved vibronic interaction theory. The e †ect of inhomogeneous broadening of REPs of a molecule due to di †erences in chain length was examined. T
