Abstract

Die Reduktion von N‐Methylisatin (I), N‐Methyldioxindol (V), N‐Formylindoxyl (VI) und N‐Methyl‐β‐isatoxim (VII) mit LiAlH~4~ führte unter den angewandten Versuchsbedingungen jeweils zu N‐Methylindol (III) und den Leukoverbindungen von Farbstoffen der Indigoreihe, aber nicht zu N‐Methyl‐3‐hydroxy‐indolin (II); letzteres wurde durch direkte Methylierung von 3‐Hydroxy‐indolin dargestellt. Die Reduktion von N‐Formyl‐2,2‐dimethyl‐indoxyl (X) mit LiAlH~4~ führte zu N,2,2‐Trimethyl‐3‐hydroxy‐indolin (XI).
