✦ Synopsis
In this work analytical determination of some pesticides frequently used in Morocco and Turkey was carried out with solid-phase extraction (SPE) and gas chromatography-ion trap mass spectrometry (GC/ITD-MS). Because of coextracts from the SPE material and/or water sample, recovery values beyond 100 % for some of the selected analytes were observed. This enhanced signal intensity was explained by an enhanced ionisation that is introduced by coeluting sample matrix. A clean-up method using florisil was tested for the removal of matrix substances. The removal of coextracts in the sample after forisil clean-up was proved by a standard addition method.
