In order to lengthen the lifetime of plasma facing components, reduction of heat flux during disruptions is necessary. For this purpose, the use of a boron or beryllium evaporator is suggested and the possibility is briefly discussed. If such a solid target is selectively evaporated during the disruption, the vapor may shield the heat flux and the power flow may be dissipated by the line radiation of the evaporated material. In addition to the reduction of the heat flux, this concept would be appropriate as a scheme for oxygen gettering.
