✦ Synopsis
The mechamsm of the polarographlc reduction of cobalt(I1) complexes with ammoma at a droppmg mercury electrode over a wide hgand concentration range was mvestlgated. It was shown that the Co(I1) aquo Ion and the Co(NHJ)I+ and Co(NHX):+ complexes partlclpate m the electrode process. Transfer coefftclents, a, for these species and the electrode reactlon rates were evaluated Stabthty constants of Co(II) complexes with ammonia m 0.5 M ammomum perchlorate were determmed on the basis of the polarographuz wave equation of totally Irreversible reduction of complex spectes.
