Abstract
Two linear orthogonal polarizers are used to reduce the effects of ambient noise light in an indoor optical wireless receiver. Using a differential detector coupled with orthogonal polarizers, the interference arising from a fluorescent lamp driven by electronic ballasts is reduced by about 15 dB. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
