โœฆ Synopsis

dystrophic mice was investigated using conventional techniques. Dystrophic rnultinucleate myotubes were found to be less responsive to the ACh with respect to the control preparation. Such a reduced sensitivity to ACh in dystrophic rnyotubes was accompanied by a reduced binding to '251-alpha-bungarotoxin. The possible biological significance of these results on the muscle disease is discussed.

To determine whether the lack of dystrophin alters the occurrence of calcium leakage activity (CLA) and acetylcholine receptor (AChR) activity, the frequency of each event class was determined from several cell attached patches on nondystrophic and dystrophic (mdx) myotubes. The frequency of CLA obs
