Spell Capital buys Breen Color Concentrates & two PVC compounders

Spell Capital Partners LLC (a private investment firm, based in Minneapolis, MN) has acquired three companies making plastic compounds and/or colorants over the past two years. Its most recent acquisition is Prime PVC Inc (of Marion, IN), which makes plastic compounds for the construction and furniture sectors. Towards the end of last year, Spell Capital paid Florida Capital Partners an undisclosed sum (believed to be less than $10 M) for Breen Color Concentrates (of Lambertville, NJ). Prior to that, in February 2006, Spell Capital acquired PVC Compounders Inc (of Kendallville, IN). Total annual sales revenues of the three acquired businesses amount to about $60 M.
