โœฆ Synopsis


The morphological lattice of a-sulphur (F ddd) has coordinates l/S, l/S, 0. The reciprocal crystal is a polyhedron with 15 faces and point symmetry 112. The arrangements of the polyhedra parallel to the crystal faces confirm t h a t (loo), (101), ( O l O ) , (Oll), ( 111), ( 113), (001) are F-faces and (110), (112) %faces according to HARTMAN and P E R D O K . Under consideration of the extinction rules of the morphological latt,ice (101) and (011) have to be regarded as S-faces. The size of the polyhedra faces is proportional to the interaction energy given by HARTMAN. It will be shown that the face area of the net plancs, divided by the number of molecules per growth laycr, represent a good approximation to the attach-1 tient energy calculated according to HARTMAN. The average deviation for a-sulphur is 3y0, for olivine and SnJ, 8.5% and for anthracene 10.5%. The Wulff-plots correspond fully t o t.he experimental observations. Der reziproke Kristall ist ein Polyeder niit 15 Flachen und der Punktsymlnetrie 112. Die Anordnungen der Polyeder parallel zu den Kristallfllchen bestatigen, dalS (loo), ( 101), (OIO), (Oll), ( l l l ) , ( 113), (001) F-Flachen und (110), (112) S-Flitchen iin Sinne von HART-MAN und PERDOK sind. Bei Berucksichtigung der Ausliischungsgesetze tles morphologischen Gitters siiid (101) und (011) als S-Fliichen anzusehen. Die Griine der Polyederflachen ist proportional der von HARTMAN berechneten Bintlungsstarke. Es wird gezeigt, daR der Flacheninhalt der Netzebenen, dividiert durch die Zahl der Molekule pro Wachstumsschicht, eine gute Naherung fur die nach HARTMAN berechnete Anlagerungsenergie darstellt.. Die niittlere Abweichung betragt fur a-Schwefcl 3%, fur Olivin und Sn J, 8,5% und fiir Anthracen 10,5y0. Die Wulff-Konstruktiorien stirninen init, den experimentellen Beobachtiingen ausgezeichnet uberein.
