Abstract

Examining the urine of some watch‐dial painters contaminated by strontium 90, the authors give a first approximation of the total body burden by extrapolating the values obtained during the third phase of elimination. The body burden of highly contaminated persons is found to be of the order of some microcuries, whereas that of less contaminated persons is found to be of some hundredths of microcuries.
