Abstract

This paper reviews the themes of the XIth, XIIth, and XIIIth International Conferences on Carpathian Meteorology. Numerous significant papers related to the following problems are presented:
impact of the mountains upon meteorological processes in the boundary layer of the atmosphere and the modelling of these processes;

hydrodynamic and synoptic methods of weather analysis and forecasting in mountainous regions;

climatic characteristics of the Carpathians and their application in practice;

secular climatic changes in the Carpathians.
