โฆ Synopsis
In support of a continuing program of systematic evaluation of nuclear structure data, the Nuclear Data Project maintains a complete computer file of references to the nuclear physics literature. Each reference is tagged by a keyword string, which indicates the kinds of data which are contained in the article.
A complete master file of Nuclear Structure References (NSR), containing references to the nuclear physics literature published since 1960, is maintained by the Nuclear Data Project. Complete keyword indexes are available to literature published since 1969, and some indexing is present with older references. The NSR file is used as requested to provide special bibliographies for nuclear physics topics. Any reader who finds errors in the keyword descriptions is urged to report them to the Nuclear Data Project so that the master NSR file can be corrected. Requests for special searches of the complete NSR file should also be directed to the Nuclear Data Project. A portion of the NSR file, covering the years 1969-1978, may be searched interactively via the DOE/RECON network by qualified users in the US. (Inquiries about access to DOE/RECON should be directed to the office of Technical Information, US Department of Energy, Washington, DC 20545.) A current copy of the NSR fiie may also be obtained in a standard format on magnetic tape from the (US) National Nuclear Data Center at Brookhaven National Laboratory.
In 1966, the first collection of Recent References was published as a separate issue of Nuclear Data Sheets. Every four months since 1970, the Project has prepared and published a similar indexed bibliography to new nuclear experiments.
The four-month indexes are prepared from additions to the Nuclear Structure Peferences (NSR) file.
