Recent developments in organometallic chemistry : 2006 In 2000 we initiated a series of biennial special issues of Coordination Chemistry Reviews containing short review articles on aspects of both main group and transition metal organometallic chemistry of current interest. The current special issue is the fourth of this series; the previous such special issues appeared in 2000, 2002, and 2004. This issue contains 13 articles, which cover a broad spectrum of organometallic topics including areas of both physical and synthetic organometallic chemistry as well as applications of organometallic chemistry in catalysis. We hope that the readers of these articles will gain insight as to recent developments in some of the currently important areas of organometallic chemistry as well as some ideas for new research programs.
