✦ Synopsis
Book Reviews the Exxon Corporation it was surprising not to find any reference to the excellent British Occupational Hygiene Society'sTechnical Guide No. 3 on Fugitive Emissions which was mainly the work of occupational hygienists from Esso UK. The scientific units throughout the book are imperial. Nevertheless it should not be condemned for that as, what it does cover, thaL is, the design ofequipment associated with a chemical process plant to minimise emissions, is very informative. Whether at f57.50 it can be regarded as value for money depends very much on what value is put on the chapters on sampling and on drains, sewers etc. as much of the rest can be obtained in more detail from less expensive sources in the United Kingdom.
