This veritable no-man's land stretches from Frost Wind Bay in the west to the foothills of the Kjord Peninsula in the east and all points in between. No one owns this land although many tribes have laid claim to it by birthright or by right of conquest. Since the distant past giants, dwarves, elves, orcs, have vied for dominance but to date none have been successful. The land varies from sheer ice-capped mountains of granite, crumbling craggy foothills of slate and flint, dark primeval forests, and wind-blown tundra. It is a beautiful but austere region where only the strong and wary survive for long. Warlord: The Savage North is an all-new self contained tabeltop [sic] battle game set in the frozen tundra of northern Adon. The book features the core rules based on Reaper's RAGE game engine with eight new factions ready to fight. A history of the setting, map and detailed background information for each of the forces offers players an opportunity to build and paint unique armies in this inhospitable region. New factions include: Bloodstone Gnomes; Orcs of Kargir; Wood Elves of Tembriithil; Giants of Icingstead; Dark Elves of the Darkreaches; Koborlas of the Nornwood; Dwarves of Kragmarr; Sisterhood of the Blade. The book also includes new art by industry veteran Wayne Reynolds along with all new stories featuring many of the characters in the new setting"--
