Real-time technology and computer aided design

A consultative report issued by the UK Department of Industry in August 1975 highlights the future of real-time technology, as foreseen by a Working Party of the Computer Systems and Electronics Requirements Board, up to the end of the 1980s. The report is devoted to a broad field of interest, some areas of which could well affect c.a.d, and greatly accelerate the rate of application of c.a.d, systems by providing solutions to some of the technical and economic problems which at present restrict both the rate of application of such systems, and the development of new applications.
