The text consists of four short stories, one long short story, one humorous essay, one extract from an essay of literary criticism, one published radio talk, two editorials from an important Pakistani newspaper and ten Ghazals, five each from Ghalib and Iqbal. Both Indian and Pakistani writers have been included. All selections were written after 1930.
