This volume is a compilation of data and formulae of those parts of physics, mainly nuclear, which find application in the technology of reactors. The first section (616 pages) covers properties of atomic nuclei, presented m~inly in the form of tables and graphs; kinetics of neutrons; reactor statics and dynamics, again chiefly graphs. The second section is devoted to radiation shielding. Such a book has no scientific interest, but is merely in the nature of a handy compendium. It has also full lists of references; two appendices giving conversion factors and units, and basic data concerning some types of reactors; and an index.
