✦ Synopsis
Mathematical models of complex electrochemical reaction schemes are developed in which mass transport of reactant and products at the electrode surface plays au important part in describing overall reaction rates. Parallel and series reactions are treated in two ideal reactor contigurations: batch and plug flow. Ccl1 operation is restricted to potentiostatic operation which allows the model sohttions to he obtained in analytical form. The model is used to simulate the behaviour of a potentially useful organic synthesis; the electroreduction of oxalic acid to glyoxylic acid.
