✦ Synopsis


A~traet--Reactivity ratios have been determined for the anionic copolymerization of ethylene oxide and butylene oxide in bulk at temperatures of 40 and 60 Β°. The ratios were obtained from the variation with feed composition of: (i) copolymer composition; and (ii) triad sequence probabilities. Finite conversions (< 15%) were accounted for in the analyses. The reactivity ratios (independent of temperature) had average values r E = 4.1 ___ 0.8 and r B = 0.17 _ 0.03.
