## Abstract Mixing parameters influencing the final particle size and conversion of zinc oxide were studied for the formation of zinc borate. Formation of zinc borate was via a fluid–solid reaction. The process was kinetically controlled above the minimum speed for particle suspension, __N__~s~. Th
