✦ Synopsis


The existing work on generating rational approximants of functions from their series expansions is extended to include the generalization of the Levin transforms due to Weniger. It is seen that this leads to approximants even better than the u-approximants obtained previously. It is further seen that the freedom of choosing an additional parameter /3 in these transforms can be exploited to dramatically increase their effectiveness in certain situations.
