✦ Synopsis
The rate coefiiclent, k, , for the rcacuon 12 + F 2 '2 products has been measured at room temperature to be k, = (19 = 0.4) X 1O-15 cm3/moIecule s. The macroscopic rate IS compared to muxoscopnz cross-section data obtamed from molecular beam expenments and IS found to be consistent with the bunolecular reactIon 12 + F2 -c I2F + F.
