The variations of yields of CO\* from the gas phase Hz02 + NO\* + CO chain reaction system with added nitromcthane or methyl nitrite have given rate constants for reactions of OH radicals with these substrates. At 292 I; these are (5.5 + 0.6) X IO8 and (g.0 & 1.1) x !08 dm3 rnc11-~ s-l respectively.
