✦ Synopsis
Anodic stripping polarography (ASP) on stationary electrodes is usually carried out with either a classical ~ -4 or a cathode-ray 4-8 polarograph mainly using a current sweep*. When used for a given solution of metallic ions with the same stationary electrode, the sensitivity, selectivity, accuracy and rapidity of determination depend on the characteristic performance of the apparatus chosen.
As is well known, with both types of polarograph, the sensitivity of ASP on * In the rest of this paper the term "cathode-ray polarograph" will be used for "current sweep cathode-ray polarograph".
