## Abstract Glass capillary gas chromatography has been investigated as a method for the analysis of nitrated polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (nitroβPAH) using both splitless and onβcolumn injection techniques. The nitroβPAH showed good chromatographic performance and thermal stability under the G

Abstract
Rapid analysis is important for onβline chromatography. Gaseous or vaporized samples have been injected via heated gas sampling valves of less than 500 ΞΌl dead volume. The critical sampling and split problems could be solved by temperature programming. The general analysis described could be successfully used inter alia in scouting reactions.

The possibility of simultaneous application of an electron capture (ECD) and a flame ionization detector (FID) connected to a glass capillary column for analyzing polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PNA) has been investigated. The ECD/FID ratio is determined for 46 PNA compounds. The ratios vary from
## Abstract Additives and oligomers from polymers were quantitatively extracted and separated using onβline SFE and capillary SFC. Conditions were found which extracted the additives selectively and separated them from the coβextracted oligomers.
