✦ Synopsis

The Raman spectra of oxygen with di †erent isotope compositions were investigated in the solid state and in argon and nitrogen matrices at 15 K. The fundamental vibration of the isotopomers 16O17O, 16O18O and 17O17O reveal a doublet of lines, each separated by 2.2 cm-1, in solid oxygen and in nitrogen matrices. The isotopic e †ect is independent of isotope composition and can be annealed by a warm-up cycle. 1997

Virtually all previous behavioral comparisons of wild and domestic rats indicate that many components of the wild variety's agonistic repertoire are either absent or much attenuated in domestic strains.
