The nucleotide binding subunit of the phosphate-specific transporter (PstB) from Mycobacterium tuberculosis is a member of the ABC family of permeases, which provides energy for transport through ATP hydrolysis. We utilized the intrinsic fluorescence of the single tryptophan containing protein to st
