✦ Synopsis
Raman spectroscopy was applied to silicon carbide/carbon continuous Ðbre-reinforced ceramic matrix composites to study the microstructure and composition changes in the Ðbres in the matrices after the consolidation of the composite at high temperatures by hot pressing, and also the stress distributions in the composites using the reinforced Ðbres as sensors.
