β¦ Synopsis
Raman spectra are obtained for the multilayer dispersion of rac-l,2,dloctadec-9'-cisenyl-glycero-3-phosphorylcholJne (dietherlecithin) in excess water. The CH stretching region was studied as a function of temperature and indicates that the multilayer dispersions undergo a liquid crystal to the gel phase transition at-21 +_ 4Β°C.

A detailed Raman spectroscopic study of the bis-(di-2-ethylhexyl)sodium sulphosuccinate (Aerosol OT)-water system has been carried out at ambient temperature (20 -+ 2Β°C). Marked changes were observed in the relative intensity of the band at 1460 cm -1 when the concentration of Aerosol OT was varied.
