✦ Synopsis
An investigation of the Ba-doped lead zirconate system was carried out with the aim of eluci-(Pb 1-x Ba x )ZrO 3 dating the phase transition points at critical concentrations x = 0.175 and 0.35 as function of temperature in the range 10-620 K. A new phase transition of an order-disorder type, at low temperature, was evidenced. Moreover, on the basis of the Raman data, a comparison was made with respect to undoped and titanium-, niobium-and lanthanum-doped lead zirconate concerning the antiferroelectric-ferroelectric-paraelectric phase transition sequence.
